Rumours were circulating earlier this week around the 24-year old singer being romantically involved with Aussie talent Daniel Merriweather, after being introduced by Daniel's producer Mark Ronson.

Super-producer Ronson worked on Allen's 2006 album Alright, Still. Now, the Grammy winner has reportedly turned matchmaker - encouraging the union between Allen (who's been single since splitting with art dealer Jay Jopling in January 09), and his mate Daniel.

Sources told British newspaper The People, "She and Daniel get along brilliantly. She's had a hard time with men and everyone hopes this will support her."

Allen has however, slammed the love rumours on Twitter, writing to Merriweather: "Apparently we are really enjoying each others (sic) company at the mo (moment). I haven't seen you since glasto last year. you good?"

Shame....would've been one cute, fiery couple!
